I. Giới thiệu

Hiện tại ta đang quản lý hệ thống Active Directory trên nền Windows Server 2003, công ty đang có nhu cầu nâng cấp hệ thống lên Windows Server 2008 và phải giữ nguyên các tài nguyên của hệ thống Active Directory hiện thời như: Users, Group, GPO,Permission….

Giải pháp tối ưu nhất hiện nay chính là “Upgrade Windows Server 2003 Active Directory to Windows Server 2008 Active Directory”.

Nội dung của bài lab sẽ trình bày cách nâng cấp hệ thống Active Directory từ Windows Server 2003 lên Windows Server 2008.

Bài lab bao gồm các bước:
1. Kiểm tra Active Directory trước khi nâng cấp
2. Nâng cấp Domain Functional Level
3. Mở rộng Active Directory Schema
4. Nâng cấp Windows Server 2008
5. Cài đặt Group Policy Management
6. Kiểm tra sau khi nâng cấp


II. Chuẩn bị
Máy Windows Server 2003 đã nâng cấp Domain Controller
III. Thực hiện
1. Kiểm tra Active Directory trước khi nâng cấp
- Log on MSOPENLAB\Administrator, mở Active Directory Users and Computers từ Administrative Tools, kiểm tra trong OU HCM có các users và group



- Trên OU HCM, kiểm tra có GPO “Deploy MS Office”



2. Nâng cấp Domain Functional Level
- Mở Active Directory Users and Computers từ Administrative Tools, chuột phải MSOpenLab.com chọn Raise Domain Functional Level…



- Trong hộp thoại Raise Domain Functional Level, chọn Windows 2000 native, chọn Raise, chọn OK 2 lần.



- Trong cửa sổ Active Directory Users and Computers, chuột phải MSOpenLab.com chọn Properties, kiểm tra đã nâng cấp Domain Functional Level lên Windows 2000 Native thành công








3. Mở rộng Active Directory Schema
- Đưa DVD cài đặt Windows Server 2008 vào DVD Rom
- Copy thư mục adprep từ D:\sources vào C:\ (D: là ỗ đĩa DVD)


- Mở Command Line, gõ lệnh cd \adprep để chuyển qua đường dẫn C:\adprep
- Gõ lệnh adprep /forestprep để mở rộng Active Directory Schema





- Sau khi quá trình mở rộng Schema hoàn tất, gõ lệnh adprep /domainprep


4. Nâng cấp Windows Server 2008
- Chạy Setup.exe từ DVD cài đặt Windows Server 2008


- Trong cửa sổ Install Windows, chọn Install Now



- Cửa sổ Get important updates for installation, chọn Do not get the latest updates for installation


- Cửa sổ Type you product key for activation, bỏ dấu chọn ô Automatically activate Windows when I’m online, chọn Next


- Hộp thoại Install Windows, chọn Yes



- Trong cửa sổ Select the edition of Windows that you purchased, chọn Windows Server 2008 Enterprise (Full Installation), đánh dấu chọn ô I have selected the edition of Windows that I purchased, chọn Next


- Cửa sổ Please read the license terms, đánh dấu chọn I accept the license terms, chọn Next


- Trong cửa sổ Which type of installation do you want, chọn Upgrade


- Cửa sổ Compatibility Report, chọn Next


- Hệ thống sẽ bắt đầu tiến trình nâng cấp






5. Cài đặt Group Policy Management
- Sau khi nâng cấp thành công, log on MSOPENLAB\Administrator
- Trong cửa sổ Server Manager, chuột phải Features chọn Add Features


- Trong hộp thoại Select Features, đánh dấu chọn Group Policy Management, chọn Next



- Hộp thoại Confirm Installation Selections, chọn Install


- Hộp thoại Installation Results, chọn Close


6. Kiểm tra sau khi nâng cấp
- Mở Active Directory Users and Computers từ Administrative Tools, kiểm tra trong OU HCM có các user và group như trong phần 1


- Mở Group Policy Management từ Administrative Tools, vào Forest:MSOpenLab.com\Domain\MSOpenLab.com\HCM kiểm tra vẫn còn GPO “Deploy MS Office”
