WINDOWS DEPLOYMENT SERVICES (WDS)





I. Mục đích

Cấu hình Windows Deployment Services để triển khai cài đặt Windows qua mạng

Bài lab bao gồm các bước:


1. Cài đặt và cấu hình DHCP Server


2. Cài đặt Windows Deployment Services


3. Cấu hình Windows Deployment Server


4. Cấu hình Boot Image và Install Image


5. Cấu hình Unattend file


6. Cấu hình máy client và kiểm tra kết quả


II. Chuẩn bị


- Máy DC: Windows Server 2008 đã nâng cấp Domain Controller


- Máy Client: chưa cài hệ điều hành (hoặc có cài hệ điều hành bất kỳ)


III. Thực hiện


1. Cài đặt và cấu hình DHCP Server


- Tại máy Domain Controller, log on Domain Administrator/P@ssw0rd


- Mở Server Manager từ Administrative Tools, right click Roles chọn Add Roles











- Trong cửa sổ Before You Begin, chọn Next











- Trong cửa sổ Select Server Roles, đánh dấu chọn vào ô DHCP Server, chọn Next









- Trong cửa sổ DHCP Server, chọn Next









- Trong cửa sổ Select Network Connection Bindings, kiểm tra có đánh dấu chọn vào địa chỉ IP hiện thời của máy DC, chọn Next









- Trong cửa sổ Specify IPv4 DNS Server Settings, để nguyên cấu hình mặc định, chọn Next









- Trong cửa sổ Specify IPv4 WINS Server Settings, chọn WINS is not required for applications on this network, chọn Next









- Trong cửa sổ Add or Edit DHCP Scopes, chọn Add









- Trong cửa sổ Add Scope, cấu hình thông số TCP/IP như trong hình, chọn OK











- Trong cửa sổ Add or Edit DHCP Scopes, chọn Next











- Trong cửa sổ Configure DHCPv6 Stateless Mode, chọn Disable DHCP stateless mode for this server, chọn Next











- Trong cửa sổ Authorize DHC Server, giữ mặc định, chọn Next









- Trong cửa sổ Confirm Installation Selections, chọn Install









- Trong cửa sổ Installation Results, chọn Close









- Mở DHCP từ Administrative Tools, kiểm tra đã cài đặt và cấu hình thành công DHCP Server











2. Cài đặt Windows Deployment Services


- Mở Server Manager từ Administrative Tools, right click Roles chọn Add Roles











- Trong cửa sổ Before You Begin, chọn Next









- Trong cửa sổ Select Server Roles, đánh dấu chọn Windows Deployment Services, chọn Next









- Trong cửa sổ Overview of Windows Deployment Services, chọn Next









- Trong cửa sổ Seclect Roles Services, đánh dấu chọn vào cả 2 ô Deployment Server và Transport Server, chọn Next









- Trong cửa sổ Confirm Installation Selections, chọn Install











- Trong cửa sổ Installation Results, chọn Close


- Kiểm tra đã cài đặt thành công Windows Deployment Services










3. Cấu hình Windows Deployment Server


- Mở Windows Deployment Services từ Administrative Tools. Bung Server, right click WDS server (PCx.msopenlab.com) chọn Configure Server









- Trong cửa sổ Welcome Page, chọn Next









- Trong cửa sổ Remote Installation Folder Location, giữ nguyên cấu hình mặc định, chọn Next









- Trong hộp thoại System Volume Warning, chọn Yes











- Trong cửa sổ DHCP Option 60, giữ nguyên cấu hình mặc định, chọn Next











- Trong cửa sổ PXE Server Initial Settings, chọn Do not respond to any client computer, chọn Finish









- Sau khi tiến trình cấu hình hoàn tất. Trong cửa sổ Configuration Complete, bỏ trắng ô chọn Add images to the Windows Deployment Server now, chọn Finish











- Kiểm tra cấu hình thành công Windows Deployments Server











4. Cấu hình Boot Image và Install Image


- Mở Windows Deployment Services từ Administrative Tools, bung Server, bung WDS server (PCx.msopenlab.com), right click Boot Image, chọn Add Boot Image









- Trong cửa sổ Image File, chọn Browse, trõ đường dẫn đến C:\Vista\SOURCE\BOOT.WIM chọn Next


Lưu ý: C:\Vista là source cài đặt Windows Vista được chép sẵn trên máy. Bạn có thể sử dụng source từ DVD cài đặt Windows Vista











- Trong cửa sổ Image Metadata, giữ nguyên cấu hình mặc định, chọn Next









- Trong cửa sổ Summary, chọn Next









- Sau khi tiến trình add boot image hoàn tất, trong cửa sổ Task Progress chọn Finish











- Kiểm tra đã add thành công Boot Image











- Trong cửa sổ Windows Deployment Services, right click Install Image, chọn Add Install Image









- Trong cửa sổ Image Group, giữ nguyên cấu hình mặc định, chọn Next











- Trong cửa sổ Image File, chọn Browse, trõ đường dẫn đến C:\Vista\SOURCE\INSTALL.WIM, chọn Next


Lưu ý: C:\Vista là source cài đặt Windows Vista được chép sẵn trên máy. Bạn có thể sử dụng source từ DVD cài đặt Windows Vista











- Trong cửa sổ Lists of Available Images, đánh dấu chọn vào ô Windows Vista UTIMATE


Lưu ý: Bạn cần cài đặt phiên bản Windows Vista nào thì chọn phiên bản đó.









- Trong cửa sổ Summary chọn Next











- Sau khi tiến trình add image hoàn tất, trong cửa sổ Task Progress, chọn Finish









- Kiểm tra đã add thành công Install Image





5. Cấu hình Unattend file


- Mở Windows Explorer, vào đuờng dẫn C:\RemoteInstall\WdsClientUnattend tạo file unattend.xml có nội dung như sau:


Lưu ý: Sửa các thông tin được in đậm theo mô hình hiện thời

- Mở Windows Deployment Services từ Administrative Tools, bung Server, right click WDS server (PCx.msopenlab.com), chọn Properties











- Trong cửa sổ PCx Properties, qua tab Client, trong ô x86 Architecture, chọn Browse, trõ đến đường dẫn C:\RemoteInstall\WdsClientUnattend\unattend.xml, chọn Apply, chọn OK














- Trong cửa sổ Windows Deployment Services, bung Install Image, bung ImageGroup1, right click Windows Vista UTIMATE chọn Properties











- Cửa sổ Image Properties, tại tab General, đánh dấu chọn vào ô Allow image to install in unattended mode, chọn Select File…











- Trong cửa sổ Select Unattend File chọn Browse, trõ đến đường dẫn C:\RemoteInstall\WdsClientUnattend\unattend.xml, chọn OK











- Cửa sổ Image Properties, chọn Apply, chọn OK











6. Cấu hình Client và kiểm tra kết quả


- Khởi động máy Client, chỉnh BIOS chuyển qua chế độ boot từ card mạng









- Khi nhận được yêu cầu “Press F12 for network service boot”, nhấn phím F12











- Máy client kết nối tới WDS server và bắt đầu quá trình cài đặt Windows











- Sau 20 phút, kiểm tra máy client hoàn tất quá trình cài đặt.
